The nurses’ significant roles in advocating for the target population for this healthcare program include ensuring the safety, privacy, confidentiality, and security of their health information. My role is to ensure patients have access to vital information and services in the program. As an educator, I educate patients on the sig nuisance and use of the program. I also play a role in determining the hospital’s patient services. Nurses are also familiar with HITECH and HIPAA regulations and can provide vital perspectives contributing to security measures in these healthcare programs.
